Penn Station Athlete of the Month for December, 2018 – Lexi Grice

Congratulations to Lexi Grice of Beavercreek High School, the Penn Station Athlete of the Month for December, 2018!  Lexi participates in soccer, football and track & field.

“Lexi is one of the most dedicated, hardest working players on the Beavercreek Girls Soccer Team. She is an excellent example of what it takes to be a successful team player,” said Coach Steve Popp.

Lexi said “I wanted something that would get me out of my comfort zone and challenge me to do things I wouldn’t expect myself to be able to do. Soccer forces me to be the hardest working person every opportunity, so I can be the best on the field. High school athletics have taught me how to be a valuable leader, work with others, and persevere through tough times. It’s also given me endless memories.”

After High School, Lexi will be attending college and hopefully continue her athletic career. She currently is in the National Honors Society, Student Council and Creek Crew.

Lexi carries a 3.70 GPA. She’s the daughter of Jerry and Melissa Grice and sister to Alec. She loves the chicken teriyaki at the Kettering Penn Station. Her favorite book is “Out Of My Mind” and notes her role model is Melissa Fouts, her middle school gym teacher. Her sports heroes are Ashlyn Harris and Jill Loyden.

Principal George Caras said “Lexi epitomizes what a team player is all about. She is an outstanding cheerleader for her teammates and always puts the team first. She is the kind of young lady every coach wants on their team.  Best of luck to you, Lexi!
